we all need a little niley in our lives.

1. Pick a character, fandom, pairing, friendship, whatever.
2. Put iTunes or your music program on shuffle and start playing songs.
3. For each song, write something inspired by the song related to the theme you chose earlier. You only have the song length. No pre-planning and no writing after the song is over. No skipping songs either.
4. Do this for ten songs and then tag your friends [WHICH I DON'T PLAN ON DOING, BTW.]

So, yes, you should listen to the songs when you are reading the really short [kind of pathetic] drabbles. They will make more sense that way, and not seem totally crazy. I'll even provide a link to make it easier.

Also, I added the song title in every drabble. Yay?

What A Girl Wants- Christina Aguilera.
Nick had always known her better than she knew herself. He knew What a Girl Wanted, to put it bluntly. When she was upset, he was at her doorstep before she even picked up the phone. When she was happy, he took her out to dinner- when he was home, of course. And every time she thanked him. Whether it was with a kiss, a letter, a text- she made sure to let him know how thankful she was that he was around.
When she left him, he still knew what she wanted. He left, he gave her space, and exactly two years later, he came back. Just like she wanted him to. And, this time, she thanked him by letting him come back home. Come back to her.

Breathe- Taylor Swift.
Miley hated being without Nick. He was her oxygen, it was impossible for her to Breathe without him around. But they were two different people now, and she just had to live without him. When she broke up with Justin, it was because she was sick of being unable to breathe. Justin was just like her oxygen supplyer, but she was just living with him. She didn't love him. So she did the only thing that would be fair for him and left him.
So she ended up meeting up with Nick again because of another Disney video shoot and maybe nothing would ever be the same between them, but she just lived in the moment and took advantage of the time they had together, keeping her oxygen around no matter what. It wasn't easy for her to be around him and know they were nothing but friends, but it was a start.

Full Moon Crazy- Honor Society.
Nick knew she was crazy, knew it from the first time he met her. How the first words that came out of her mouth were, "I hate your shirt." Their relationship was no different. She called him out for the most ridiculous things, caused drama that he really didn't need.
She telled him that she'd get revenge the day he broke up with her because he couldn't handle her mood swings, and she did. It came in the form of an interview in Seventeen Magazine. Still, no one thought she was crazy, she was just a heartbroken teenager. That was the way she was, though, lying, decieving and, most of all, Full Moon Crazy.

Rock and Roll Party Queen- Louis St. Louis.
Nick remembered seeing her at a party that one of his friends had. She was the one that he would never fall for, and yet he did. Just as he sat there with his best friends, watching her dance on the sparkling floor. It seemed as the song was playing just for her, the way that everyone watched her and her body moved perfectly with the beats. He was sure that he had to meet her, and he did.
When he found out that he liked her too, he was shocked. But it didn't matter how different they were for each other, she would always be his Rock and Roll Party Queen.

Better in Time- Leona Lewis.
They would never be the same they were two years ago. Both of them had grown so much in that short period of time. They were no longer crazy teenagers, thinking that love was all unicorns and rainbows. They knew more, had each had their share of heartbreak.
Little by little, though, it would get better. They had started hanging out more and more- she would see him at his concerts, and he would visit her on the set of her new movie. Finally friends again, they were learning that one thing made sense, and always seemed to hold true; things always got Better in Time.

Waking Up in Vegas- Katy Perry.
She hadn't known what happened that night. All she knew was that she woke up next to the most handsome guy in the world. The only problem was; who was he? And what was she doing in his bed in his hotel room?
"Do you know where we are?" Miley had asked, pushing her messy hair out of her squinting eyes as she sat up in the bed. It sure was bright for being only six in the morning.
"Vegas," he replied, "I'm Nick and... And I'm pretty sure we're married." Sure enough, there was a sparkling ring on her left finger that she found when she looked down at her hands.
Well, that's what you get for Waking Up in Vegas.

Just Wanna Be With You- HSM3.
It was simple. Nick loved Miley. He always had. The way her blue eyes sparkled when she was excited, and especially the way she always understood that he loved her- he really did- no matter how far apart they were. No matter if he was on tour or she was filming her TV show, he loved her.
She felt just as simply about him. She loved the way he bit his lip when he was concentraiting and the way he would always be her best friend first, before anything else. He would always be there for her and she knew she could count on him no matter what.
It was easy; they Just Wanted to be With Each Other.

Picture- Kid Rock & Sheryl Crow.
Nick kept a picture of her on his dresser. He knew it wasn't healthy, but it was the only thing that kept him sane. Ever since they broke up, he hadn't been the same. He had turned to alcohol, turned to other girls, but they never lasted more than a night, and that wasn't what he wanted. But he knew that in reality, he couldn't live with just her picture. So he put it away one night, and it was the most painful thing he had ever done. He cried all night.
Miley kept a picture of him inside of her dresser. She had moved on, married a doctor, but promised Nick that she'd always be there for him. So she still called him a few times, but he never seemed the same. She had to give up, and she couldn't wait for him forever, so she did. She put his Picture in her suitcase, just wondering what had happened to the Nick she used to know. She cried all night.
She saw him with a girl. He asked how she was. She said she was fine (even though she would never be okay without him). She saw that he looked sad. She reminded him of the good times they had together. He smiled for the first time in a while and said that he didn't know if he could go on without her.
She took his picture back out that day, he called her and said he wanted her back. She said that she already was.

I Knew I Loved You- Savage Garden. (Fun fact; When Nick was little, he thought he wrote this song and they stole it from him.)
It was strange, the first time he met her. The way their bodies fit together that first time that they hugged. It was perfect, almost in a strange way. Almost too perfect. It was crazy, maybe stupid, but Nick had felt like He Knew He Loved Her before he met her. He was pretty sure that she was the exact girl that he had dreamed about for all those years. The perfect girl to balance out his serious demeanor with her outgoing one.
Maybe she was sent from heaven for him, Nick figured. That was the only explination.

Girl of the Year- FM Static.
Miley was perfect. She liked old rock and roll the same way Nick did. She had no cares at all, she didn't care if people made up rumors about her and snapped pictures in her face every time she went outside. She was like the ying to his yang, she balanced him out perfectly. She knew exactly how to push his buttons just enough to get what she wanted.
She was the Girl of the Year, and she was all his.
